With over 30 years of teaching experience, Cybele Botran is committed to meeting the individual needs of her tutoring clients. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Education with a multiple subject teaching credential from the University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.).
After teaching in Japan, Chile and California public schools, she homeschooled her three children through high school.
Her children study/studied at Oberlin College (Physics and History, 2018), Olin College of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, 2021), and Smith College (Psychology and Dance, 2022). Her oldest son conducted research with the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, Germany and currently works at The Spitz group at the University of Michigan studying experimental particle and astroparticle physics.
In the summer, she teaches arts and crafts at Eagle's Nest Camp in North Carolina.
Cybele founded Villabella Tutoring in 2014 when her oldest child left for college. She believes that all children are naturally curious and she is passionate about creating learning opportunities for her students. She lives with her husband in Key Biscayne.
