Cybele Botran earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Education with a multiple subject teaching credential from the University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.).
After teaching in California public schools, she homeschooled her three children through high school. Her children study/studied at Oberlin College (Physics and History, 2018), Olin College of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, 2021), and Smith College (Psychology and Dance, 2022). Her oldest son is now conducting research at Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, Germany.
In the summer, she teaches arts and crafts at Eagle's Nest Camp in North Carolina.
Cybele founded Villabella Tutoring in 2014 when her oldest child left for college. She believes that all children are naturally curious and she is passionate about creating learning opportunities for her students. She lives with her husband in Key Biscayne.
